The AVBHARGAV Group of Companies was founded by Late Sh. Dogar Nath Bhargav in the year 1958. Sh. Dogar Nath Bhargav hailed from Pallandri, which is now a part of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, he later came to Jammu as a refugee and started working as an apprentice in a small gun manufacturing company in the year 1952.

After gaining experience in the industry, he founded Bhargav Arms Company in the year 1958 and started manufacturing single-barrel shotguns.

Bhargav Arms Company has since grown to become a leading manufacturer of shotguns in India. In the year 1972, Sh. Amar Nath Bhargav, the eldest son of Dogar Nath Bhargav, joined the family business and diversified the arms business to arms wholesale and retail. Under his leadership, the AVBHARGAV Group emerged as one of the leading business groups in the weapon industry in India.

Today, the AVBHARGAV Group manufactures all kinds of shotguns, including pump action and semi-automatic, handguns, and other products through its 3 manufacturing plants located in Jammu and Kandrori.
